Cream Of The Crop
Along with eyeing up the latest fashion trends, I often find myself drooling over the latest interior design trends. As a general rule, I tend to admire classic and luxurious themes that feature natural, earthy colours with flashes of metallics (copper, in particular, never fails to catch my eye). However, recently I've found my mind opening up to more colourful and unusual designs after seeing various posts by other bloggers feature striking designs they've found online, or personal shots of their own bedrooms/flats.
All of these beautiful visuals have led me to dig a little deeper into the world of interiors and refrain from restricting myself to creamy classic works alone. My first port of call for online inspiration was Elle Decor, for not only have I heard many good things about the online destination from others, but I was also intrigued to see how Elle's interior design discussion matched up to their fashion and trend spotting!
I'll admit to instantly falling in love with the immaculate finish of the Georgia Guest Bath, mainly due to the unusual method of covering the walls with old AAA maps! Like many people, I've always been attracted to the busy visual effect that world maps have on the eye.. I even went as far as purchasing a world map ipad mini case earlier this year, although I've since changed to a deep red Michael Kors cover.
Having said that, I've shared a couple of other shots from their compilation of this week's 'best of the best', as everyone's taste differs and we'll inevitably each find inspiration in different things. I suppose that's the sheer beauty of trends.. be them to wear, or to live in!
