At the end of last week, I shamelessly rubbed some delicious fairy cakes in the faces of my Instagram followers, but I didn't want to leave anyone out SO feast your eyes on the best cupcakes in the entire world to brighten up the beginning of the week!
These adorable fairy cakes by Fiona Cairns are light and fluffy, wrapped with super sweet icing and fun illustrations. This isn't the first time I've enjoyed the ''hand crafted, lovingly baked and beautifully decorated cakes'' by Fiona Cairns and it certainly won't be the last! This particular assortment consisted of three designs; an ice cream, bumblebee and some bunting..
The home of luxury cakes is based in England's Leicestershire, however they are available to purchase from various different destinations (including Harrods). The company was established over a quarter of a century ago after the founder made a batch of miniature fruit cakes for friends one Christmas - if you're anything like me, discovering the company's beginnings involved the word 'Christmas' will morph you into a firm supporter of Fiona Cairns!
Along with having the honour of creating the Royal wedding cake for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge back in 2011, the company makes over 2 million cakes every year and I'm very proud to say that 1.9 million of those says are down to my family. Joking aside, it's possible that I personally consume 20 Fiona Cairns fairy cakes per year.. all in support of British business, of course!
