It's been a trying week for me and so now that we've reached the weekend and all that was 'wrong' has been made 'right', I'm able to breathe a sigh of relief, break open a bar of chocolate and put my feet up. Another highlight of this weekend is the opportunity to spend some time blogging and catching up on the latest posts from the mass of blogs I follow! With this in mind, allow me to apologise and make up for my disappearing act this past week with some animal print. The signs of Autumn; glowing candles, crisp morning walks through crunchy golden leaves, hot chocolate with marshmallows, the smell of a wood fire and last but not least.. animal prints.
Consider this to be the last post where I mention my 21st birthday (August, if you were wondering).. but how could I breeze past my birthday dress?! I had originally planned on wearing the L&L dress purchased when last in Belgium, however I hadn't taken into consideration the weather which was the biggest mistake I could ever have made considering I'm British, born and bred. Nevertheless, nothing can stand in between myself and a celebration and so I took myself off shopping and returned with this glamorous (for want of a better word) leopard print dress by Carmen Marc Valvo.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is a birthday dress if ever I saw one. It's at this point that I should make it clear that I'm not only a fan of making the most out of a celebration, I also believe in advance planning when it comes to deciding on an outfit for said celebrations. So, similarly to how a long gold fleck dress by Mango has been the latest addition to my wardrobe in preparation for Christmas Day (I know), this animalistic tight fitting dress by Carmen Marc Valvo quickly marked it's status as my 21st birthday dress.
I was distracted by enjoying my birthday and so never got around to taking photos of dining out whilst wearing this dress, however rest assured that not one drop of the mayonnaise smothering my steak baguette was splattered across this striking print! On that note, I shall love and leave you to enjoy this new season in whatever way you please, be it wearing animal prints, or by lighting two dozen orange blossom candles and spending evenings curled up by the fireplace..
