5 Ways to Overcome Self-Doubt

Last month I wrote about 5 Ways to Stay Optimistic and it has been really lovely ever since to receive such positive feedback on the post, as well as hearing it has even helped a few people in one small way or another.  I'm by no means a fountain of knowledge when it comes to figuring things out, however I'm all for self-improvement and if anything I say could potentially help someone else.. I'll give it a go!  With this in mind, I thought I'd hit on another topic that tends to revisit us all every now and again, self-doubt.

1. Stop concerning yourself with what other people may be thinking about you, especially as the chances are they're.. well, not!  Most of the time, we're all far too busy thinking about ourselves to even notice what others are doing

*

2. Immerse yourself in positivity - positive messages, positive media and positive people

 *

3. Remember there are over 7 billion people in the world.  This doesn't make you any less important, but it should remind you that any mistake you may (or may not) make will be a drop in the ocean

*

4. Build a never-ending list of quotes, mantras and excerpts that instil confidence within you

*

5. Have some faith in yourself and your abilities - there is no reason why you don't deserve your support.  Once you have that, you'll never face anything alone!

I really hope that the above five points have been of some help.  You may find it useful to bookmark this blog post as a source to return to whenever you catch yourself slipping into those tricky, self-doubting ways - although of course, my fingers are crossed that you won't need to!

With love,

Gabrielle x

  9. Such a lovely post, dear! I firmly believe that point no. 4 is true because, it might sound silly, but I have a board on Pinterest about quotes and phrases, some of them are funny ones but many of them are motivational and little by little they started resonating in my head and helped me a lot in difficult moments. I'll put into practice the other points, too :)

  50. "Instead of worrying what others think about you. it's better to think how you can improve yourself" says Jack Canfield. I love his book because it's all about positive energy! It all happens to all of us when we all doubt ourselves and worry about what other people may think about us. However, positive vibe is very important. After drama I was through at university recently, I have chosen to absorb myself listening to self-improvement videos on Youtube :) I love reading positive posts hun. Keep it coming!
