Hotel Wishlist: Le Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris

Entrance - All photos taken from the Le Royal Monceau website
On the first day of this month, I started a new series on A Glass Of Ice titled 'Hotel Wishlist' and launched the concept with The Rubens at the Palace, a sumptuous hotel based in London.  I've spent some time since then debating where to explore next with regard to showcasing a hotel I would love to visit, however it wasn't long before a hotel was pushed right underneath my nose.  Whilst on Twitter, I noticed paparazzi photos of Kim Kardashian emerging from a luxurious-looking hotel during Paris Fashion Week and after a little bit of research, discovered this hotel went by the name of Le Royal Monceau.

La Cuisine
Il Carpaccio
The five-star hotel is on the prestigious Avenue Hoche and is just steps away from the Champs-Elysées and Arc de Triomphe, which means heels higher than the Eiffel Tower can be worn for dinner at the hotel's Michelin-star Italian restaurant, Il Carpaccio, before heading out to view the beauty of Paris' landmarks.  The decor of any dining space within the hotel is unique in its design and most notably, boasts unusual lampshades placed sporadically throughout the French restaurant, La Cuisine.

Mirrors, blush pink and soft furnishings make a winning combination and the Presidential Suites at Le Royal Monceau are proof of this - although the price certainly reflects it!  The level of luxury and comfort is seemingly incomparable, which makes its recent TripAdvisor award for 'Best Hotel' and 'Best Luxury Hotel' in France entirely understandable - the hotel has a glowing reputation of being a shining example of excellent hospitality and indisputable excellence.

As far as amenities go, the Paris-located Le Royal Monceau has got it all; in-house art gallery, deluxe cinema screenings and the ultimate form of escape through the 'Spa My Blend' by Clarins.  The contemporary beauty of the 1,500 sqm spa features a 23-meter infinity pool and can be accessed directly from every floor allowing you to shuffle to the spa in your robe without tripping over Kim Kardashian's entourage - and if that's not luxury, I don't know what is.
