7 Thoughts For Spring

Looking back over previous posts on A Glass Of Ice, there's a definite pattern of excitement on my end whenever a new season breaks through.  I think it's due to the possibility of a 'fresh start', 'clean slate' and if desired, opportunity to start a new chapter - what could be better than that?!  I thought a gentle way of marking the arrival of Spring would be to list seven reasons in that it improves life.. and so whether you're in a good place or not-so-pleasant place right now, you can be reminded that no matter what is going on in your life, nature is taking care of the seasons and you simply have to live among them..

''The beautiful Spring came; and when Nature resumes her loveliness,
the human soul is apt to revive also''
-
Harriet Ann Jacobs

1 - If, like me, you adore photographing flowers, then Spring allows you to be in your element with subjects appearing all over the place

*

2 - You can workout outdoors (presenting yet more reasons to wear the brightest, cutest fitness gear you can find!)

*

3 - Hello Spring/Summer wardrobe; light materials, bright colours and bold patterns

*

4 - I'll be the one to say it.. social media is a hell of a lot more interesting at this time of year as it's packed full with bright colours, travel photos, fresh food, flowers and happy faces!

*

5 - Warmer weather and waking up to streams of sunshine over the duvet cover.  Daylight Saving Time is in full swing, meaning those dark skies that creep up on us all in the late afternoon are a thing of the past (at least for now)

*

6 - It presents the perfect opportunity for a tidy-up in every way; home, wardrobe, beauty and mind

*

7 - Each season has it's idyllic scenes and for Spring (as well as Summer), the list is never-ending;  driving along with the windows down, dining al fresco - sitting on the patio in the evening to enjoy a BBQ with friends/family, the constant twittering of birds, walking around gardens and parks with an ice cream in hand..

With love,

Gabrielle x

I see it as my time to set goals and take notes from the past for my very own personal improvement. And even thought I don't get to experience the seasons here in Orlando as much as you do where you live, I still enjoy it via all the pictures I see on my IG feed, and all the blogs I follow. Sorry I have missed many of your posts but glad I read this one:-) Have a wonderful Sunday! XOXO, Jeannette
