Mii Cosmetics 'Ethereal Collection': Cheeks

Over the past week or so, I've been covering the Ethereal Collection c/o by Mii Cosmetics on A Glass Of Ice, starting with the lip products and moving on to the eye colours.  With this in mind, this third instalment discusses the beautiful skin shimmers kindly sent my way!  As you'll know by now, the collection is made up of seven items and all of which sport playful and rather enchanting names - on this occasion, you're looking at the Celestial Skin Shimmers 'Aurora' and 'Rose Quartz'.

It's not at all surprising why Mii Cosmetics has a rising profile (just last week they were at Pandora on Oxford Street helping visitors find their perfect lip colours), for it's difficult not to be impressed by a cosmetics brand that provides pretty presentation and then continues to deliver just as pretty products within!
Rose Quartz (left) and Aurora (right)

I've actually been searching for a new blusher since tiring of one by Clinique - talk about excellent timing!  Following the instructions shown on the box, it was pretty simple to add 'radiant warmth' to my complexion using Rose Quartz.  I particularly love how feminine and bright it is in comparison to my previous blusher, although I would definitely suggest light application as apply too generously and - like any assorted blusher - you can end up passing rosy and greeting flushed.  Combined with Benefit High Beam blended directly on top, I can confidently say I've found my spring/summer blusher!

Rose Quartz Skim Shimmer

Aurora is probably one of the prettiest things I've seen in a while.  Just as with the Molten Lip Sheens, I found myself staring at the colours and admiring how they shimmered when met with daylight.  Up until now, I've never really ventured into the world of bronzers (which is more than a little surprising considering how pale I am!), so I can thank Mii Cosmetics for forcing the issue by introducing me to their gorgeous Aurora Skin Shimmer, the perfect way of welcoming these wonderful, warmer months.

For the past nine months, I've been looking in the mirror and seeing one incredibly pale girl staring back at me.  So, to have instant colour added to my cheeks and with a real touch of shimmer that doesn't stray from seeming elegant at the same time, is more than a little exciting!  I try not to voluntarily put myself beneath the sun too often and instead opt to tan by coincidence, so I can appreciate bronzer is a fantastic way of appearing sun-kissed without the sun damage.  I'm hugely looking forward to wearing this, along with the rest of the collection, on my upcoming city break to Bruges and all through the summer, because.. well, to cut a long story short, I'm a fan!

Aurora Skin Shimmer

Mii Cosmetics is stocked at Gerrard International (see shipping details here).

With love,

  1. The packaging of these is positively gorgeous and the colors look really pretty as well. Bronzer is definitely a safer bet than sunning yourself. I wish this range was available in the US.
