American-brand Durango (Nelsonville, Ohio) was founded in 1966 and so have been around for about fifty years now. Over that time, they've become known for western and rock and roll inspired footwear/clothing, though have recently been placing focus on more urban styling. Perfect! Though just like most people I don't have a 'set style', I favour well-made and classic clothing; if an item can be worn at any point over the space of a decade, I'll gladly welcome it into my wardrobe. One of my favourite styling options is to take something predominantly urban and mix it with a dose of femininity, even romance, so as to counteract the two. Bottom line? I love this skirt.
I adore the fit of this leather skirt by Durango. The thick waistband has such a flattering effect and - as seen in the first photo - there's even a slight flare when moving (or in my case, twirling around in circles). I feel quite fortunate with regard to the length (19'') as the longest part of my person is undoubtedly from hip to knee and so finding skirts that fall at the right length can be a tricky business. I mean, I can't imagine my grandmother raising her eyebrows at the length of this skirt and so I reckon I'm in the clear!

I'm certainly glad to have the Tottie Skirt in my wardrobe as I consider it to be the perfect transitional piece with regard to the upcoming season change. If we're being honest, I'm surprised I hadn't before added a leather skirt to my wardrobe, though I suppose I shouldn't be surprised considering I'm the girl who took twenty-one years to get around to wearing a leather jacket. Anyway on that note, I hope the sun is shining down on you wherever you're based - and that you can land a jumping outfit photo without your limbs flailing in all directions! I'd make a terrible gymnast, that's for sure..
