I have three weaknesses: lingerie, shoes and chocolate. Though truthfully, I'm not convinced they can be considered weaknesses when they're each so wonderful. I'll admit the latter probably isn't the best for me, but I refuse to believe there's anything at all wrong with indulging in pretty lingerie and skyscraper heels! Over the years, I've rewarded myself with any of the three. A good test score would result in a pile of Green and Black's chocolate, a refreshed workout regime would see a new pair of black stilettos added to my wardrobe and the ability to remain polite to someone who was anything but would see me shopping for laced triangle bras. On this occasion, however, there's no reason and it's instead a case of admiring something pretty.. for pretty's sake! Say hello to the Passionata 'Adorable' Bandeau Bra c/o and Passionata 'Adorable' Sexy Shorty c/o...
If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know of my adoration of lingerie by now. It's true I do my best to keep the retweets of pretty delicates to a minimum in a bid to save people from public embarrassment - there's nothing quite like receiving accusatory looks in cafés. ''No no no, you've got it all wrong.. I'm not looking at her, I'm looking at her underwear!'' Anyway, just like with shoes and chocolate, lingerie has a definite feel-good factor about it. It's beautiful to look at both online and in person, beautiful to touch and most importantly, to wear. Passionata has been on my radar (and in my lingerie drawer) for a good couple of years now and so when opportunity arose to select a set from their look book, it's safe to say both chocolate and shoes paled in comparison to the options available!
I have a track record of purchasing balconette and triangle bras and so this seemed like the perfect occasion to try a bandeau bra for the first time. Although the material is delicate and feminine featuring floral lace cups, support isn't compromised thanks to the underwired design - the ultimate combination, if you ask me. Also, if you're a fan of wearing pretty underwear that doesn't feel constricting, Passionata's bandeau design would certainly be a direction worth looking in - take it from someone who shares the same goal.
I should point out that although my heart well and truly belongs to this black version of the Adorable set, the design is also available in Tyrian Pink and Sage. Then of course there's also varying styles of briefs to the Sexy Shorts, including the Thong and Bikini. Sigh.. it's lingerie heaven!
This is undoubtedly my favourite set at the moment; I love how flattering the design is, how pretty the neckline looks when subtly revealed beneath a v-neck t-shirt and most importantly, how it makes me feel. Well.. if you're in a public place, I hope nobody walked past and raised their eyebrows knowingly at you as you browsed this blog post. But I mean, if you're going to be judged for looking at half-dressed women online, let them be wearing Passionata lingerie - right?
