So, I scrapbook. Admittedly, I'm about ten months behind which I have a feeling makes me the worst scrapbooker in the world, though nonetheless I've been keeping track of life's important moments/occasions for the best part of a decade now. Out of any possible 'extras' to include in the albums, my embellishment of choice has always been stickers. Foam stickers, glitter stickers, metallic stickers.. and so the list goes on! However, my love of stickers extends far beyond scrapbooks alone and as a result has seen me forage in the kids' department of Accessorize and quirky craft stores over the years to find more to add to my collection. Why? Because I like stickers! It's an odd thing to collect - true - though it doesn't feel as odd nowadays when such stylish and modern options exist, like Luckies of London Just Your Type*, a folder comprising 16 sheets of gold foil stickers.
Luckies of London has quickly become one of my favourite online destinations to track down unusual gifts, particularly as most of their products provide something to do, not just something to look at. Long gone are the days spent playing with new toys on Christmas Day as a child and I can't help but feel as though we're missing out a bit as adults. Similar to the Adventure Journal* featured recently on A Glass Of Ice, this sticker set provides the opportunity to get more involved and experience a longer term enjoyment - and I'm not just saying that because I'm a sticker fanatic. Promise.
The set includes over 600 characters including letters, numbers and graphic icons - all of which are in the gold foil sticker style. If I've learnt anything in the year since launching A Glass Of Ice, it's that I'm not alone in admiring all things metallic - and never more so than when it comes to stationery. With gorgeously golden stationery lines by both Kate Spade and Katie Leamon creeping up in every corner of the blogging world, these gold foil stickers certainly fit the brief!
Out of the many icons and letters, my favourites are undoubtedly the nautical themed stickers. First Place goes to the ship's wheel and second to the picture-perfect anchor (as shown below on a Mia Felce phone case* kindly sent my way in the summer). More than anything, I love how the stickers are presented in a black folder, making it not only an ideal gift but also a really handy storage container for the stickers. Seriously, I've lost count of all the half-used sheets of stickers I've discovered floating about over the years...
Just Your Type* claims to be an 'innovative way of personalising your possessions with gold foil sticker letters'. I mean, yeah that's true... however it's also a super attractive file of stickers to just spread out and stare at for hours on end. Though it's probably best to make up your own mind considering my position as 'Sticker Superfan'. I'm just glad I didn't have a blog when I used to collect fossil stands - that's right, I grew tired of collecting fossils and started collecting their stands instead. I'll see myself out...
