If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know I recently swung by a Champneys store and indulged in a few treats! The thought crossed my mind to browse the pretty shelves of spa products after having had my hair done nearby; because you see, I like having my hair cut about as much as I like stubbing my toes. So, after every Toni & Guy haircut (which I should point out never fails to put a smile on my face after the suspense of letting someone near my hair with scissors) I treat myself! On this occasion, it was a boat-load of Jessica Nail Polishes sitting prettily in the Champneys store, a couple of foot treatments and these two beautifully packaged skin products - Cloud Nine Indulgent Body Butter and Summer Dream Rewarding Salt Scrub.
Personally, I'm a massive advocate of exfoliating and as thousands have said before me, it's the key to beautiful looking skin! The Summer Dream Rewarding Salt Scrub is bursting with 'notes of summer fruit infusions such as peach, mango, orange and passion fruit with a hint of sandalwood'. The smell is undoubtedly beautiful and goes a long way in inducing those summer vibes we all start dreaming of come January 1st! I've tried a few body scrubs by Champneys over the years and although this is just as effective as those previously tried, I find a lot more product is needed to attain the desired effect. I've always loved how long-lasting Champneys products are and so if I were searching for a flaw, that would be it. Having said that, the Summer Dream Rewarding Salt Scrub isn't doing too badly if it's only gathered one strike against its name!
The Cloud Nine Indulgent Body Butter gets an over-enthusiastic thumbs-up from me. Not only does it smell beautiful, but it works beautifully as well! The body butter is very heavily fragranced and so if you struggle to get scents to cling to your skin, this would be a brilliant way to ensure leaving a cloud of 'precious woods, sensuality of musk, vanilla and tonka' behind you! After just a handful of applications, I'm already really pleased with how nourishing it is to the dry skin on my arms, something that often rears its ugly head come winter. Unlike the salt scrub, this body butter has a definite wintery smell to it, which is more than welcome considering the large tub will most definitely see me through to Spring!
Psst! Both of these products are available for purchase at Boots.
The dread of having my hair trimmed was well and truly worth it, as not only did I leave with freshened-up locks, but as part of a domino effect, it also introduced me to these beautiful Champneys products in the brand's relaunched packaging. Winter, I'm ready for you!
