Christmas with Valley Mill

Valley Mill Natural Soap and Soy Melts ReviewIt's here!  My first Christmas-themed post of the year!  Each and every year I become overwhelmingly excited about Christmas and I really wish I could better convey that message besides increasing the number of exclamation marks per post.  Seriously though, everything about the next two months is both calming and exciting - a combination that is rarely experienced outside of the festive season.  Most will see an increase in festive experiences that usually require travelling, as well as an increase in evenings spent curled up in front of the fire with a Christmas film from the 1990s.  Bliss! Personally, when I'm not thinking through outfits for my upcoming trips next month, lately I've been burning Valley Mill Spiced Apple Soy Melts c/o and using Valley Mill Natural Orange & Cinnamon Soap c/o - both of which hail from Wales and are more than a little 'Christmassy'!

Valley Mill Natural Soap Blog Review
Valley Mill Natural Soap Speaking as someone who is most likely more excited for the next couple of months than your eight year old cousin, the divine smells of both the Soy Wax Melts and Natural Soap by Valley Mill have well and truly made my week.  There are quite a few 'firsts' that indicate the build-up to the special day, such as when the Christmas adverts start appearing in between programmes.  However, I've always found scents to be far more indicative than any other factor when it comes to this time of year and so the strong, undeniably festive fragrance of the Spiced Apple Wax Melts very much waved a green flag for me to the begin the celebrations!
Valley Mill Christmas
Valley Mill Spiced Apple Melts
Valley Mill Spiced Apple Melts BlogAs I sat back and relaxed to enjoy the 1997 Christmas film 'Borrowed Hearts' (heartwarmingly sweet!), I used a small electric burner for the wax melts to avoid having a naked flame flickering away as I delved into the storyline of the film and inevitably forgot entirely about my surroundings.  It may only be the 11th November, however that's 11 months closer to Christmas than we were in January and so I say... roll on the Christmas events and bring out the Christmas scents!
Check out this fascinating video on how Valley Mill make their candles!

Valley Mill Spiced Apple Melts Christmas BlogI'm afraid you've got to endure my festive ramblings for a further month and a half!  I'd suggest sticking on a Christmas film and lighting some luxury Spiced Apple Soy Melts to help ease you into the mood...

  9. I am the same as you Gabrielle, I love this time of year, especially when it starts to get really frosty and in the evenings so I can curl up with a good book and read by some candles. It' just a fun time of year - seeing everyone, buying and making gifts and of course, if it happens, snow! I really like the design for these candles too, so cute.
