Abbey Hotel. Although the hotel's exterior and Apres Ski Bar looked pretty special upon arrival, it looked positively glistening come the evening. The abundance of lights looked like something out of a Christmas film! After toying with the idea of venturing into the outdoor bar for drinks, we eventually settled on exploring the hotel's modern Art Bar for hot chocolates with amaretto. Yum!
If I look shattered, it's because I was. Big time. I think I've been burning the candle at both ends lately, though thankfully the relaxing ambience, warm drinks and friendly bar staff went a long way in bringing me back to life! Speaking of ambience, the hotel's bar is truly very special; the warm colour combination, cosy lighting and eclectic mix of design features is a total treat for the eyes (not a treat on the eyebrows though apparently - no idea what happened there, I promise I have two) . Needless to say there's no prize for guessing why it's called the 'Art Bar'...

Let it never be said I'm not a woman of my word - we end with fudge! There's nothing quite like indulging in something sweet come midnight when staying away. It's a (terrible) habit I've been keeping for many years but well, when fudge as good as this is available, why break the habit?! Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed reading about my festive trip to Bath, it's one of my favourite annual traditions and one that I intend to continue for as long as possible!
