Christmas Gift Guide For Men

Christmas gift guide men 2015As I mentioned in my Christmas Gift Guide for Women last week, I've been putting together a parallel gift guide for men in anticipation of this festive season!  I think we're all in agreement when I say that shopping for men isn't the easiest task in the world.  Really, I've lost count of the amount of times I've contemplated purchasing everyone socks and wiping my hands of the whole gift-hunting conundrum.  With that said, I hope this guide will be able to tick at least one or two gifts off your shopping list - leaving you with more time to wrap up in a fur throw and relax in front of a Christmas film!

GoCustomized black marble caseGlenmorangie Original Single Malt Scotch Whisky - This is a direction I often look in when it comes to 'extra' presents for my dad, though if there were a father-in-law on the scene, I'd imagine they'd most likely be a cheerful recipient of this whisky too!  The presentation box and positive brand reputation both go a long way in making this a slightly more memorable and special gift than the routine 'wine in a bag' route.

GoCustomized iPhone 6 Full Wrap Hard Case* - Swoon!  I'm such a huge fan of marble print, as are most people right now - women and men alike, which makes this personalised marble-print phone case a definite 'yes' in my book when it comes to gift-giving.  GoCustomized have a variety of pre-made designs, though the chance to upload your own photos and/or text is also an option.  Personalised gift?  Check!

(see my Christmas Gift Guide for Women for a green marble alternative by a similar brand)

Parks of London Aromatherapy Olibanum Candle - A common misconception when it comes to candles is that only women like to enjoy their relaxing, fragrant qualities.  Wrong, so wrong!  The range of luxurious scents by Parks of London would have anyone reaching for their matches, though a particularly impressive scent from the brand's Aromatherapy range is 'Olibanum' (Frankincense).  The 100% natural wax candle comes in a black and white presentation box and I don't think I've ever wished more to possess the ability to transport scents via my blog!

handmade single malt scotch whisky fudge
Arran Whisky Fudge Carton 250g - Can you see a pattern forming here?  I guess there's something about whisky that resonates with Christmas; the two go hand in hand - though I should point out, not mine, I'm more of a Gl├╝hwein kind of girl myself throughout this time of year!  However, this is a gift guide for men, so whisky fudge makes the cut - and especially as it ticks two boxes at once; confectionary and alcohol!  This particular carton of whisky fudge is probably the most attractive one around right now thanks to its unusual design and colour combination.  Trust me, if it wasn't for this carton, we'd all be drowned in rather plain-looking fudge tins!

Versace Eros Deodorant Stick 75ml - When you know someone's favourite scent, a lot of the hard work has already been done for you.  However, if you also happen to know they've only just started a new bottle of said scent, there's always the option of looking at the aftershave's range and all of its possible forms.  This year, one of the gifts I've purchased for my brother is an electric blue Versace Eros Deodorant Stick - a product from a luxurious range both in appearance and scent!

versace deodorant gift guide
slate garden pegsPlain Slate Garden Markers - It's always helpful when brainstorming gifts for men to stumble across a particular hobby of theirs.  In the case of gardening, it makes the process of tracking down a thoughtful present much, much easier as the range of products available is incredible!  Garden markers are a sweet gift for gardening-enthusiasts if you're looking for something on a smaller scale.  Although this Plain Slate set is currently sold out in most places, an almost identical set by GardenMate can be found on Amazon.

Paul Smith Scarf - You may have noticed the colourful striped scarf featured in some of these photos and your first thought may have been, ''Scarf?  How unoriginal!''  However if you ask me, it's the ultimate accessory.  If you're struggling to find a luxurious scarf in a unique pattern/print for a modern man, Paul Smith is definitely worth checking out.  Plus, if the occasion arises, you can always 'borrow' it and then 'lose' it...

Daniel Wellington Mens Classic Sheffield 40mm c/o - Some of the most highly-coveted gifts right now are undoubtedly Daniel Wellington watches.  I had the pleasure of working with the brand earlier this year and have been a huge fan ever since; their designs are classic, luxurious and most importantly, well-made!  Needless to say, I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to share more of their designs with you.  It's not often I fall in love with both the women's and men's departments, however in the case of Daniel Wellington watches, I'm convinced I'd still be wrapping DW designs around my wrist each and every day if I were a man!  The Men's Classic Sheffield watch has a silver case size of 40mm and minimalist design, both promoting the appearance of luxury - there's a definite masculine feel about it.  Oh, and can we take a moment to appreciate the brand's festive gift-wrapping?  Perfect.

(Use the discount code DWaglassofice for a 15% discount on their website!)

Ferrero Rocher 200g Box - If in doubt, play it safe with chocolate!  Needless to say there's a huge variety of delicious chocolates around, though there's something undeniably festive about the golden casings of Italian brand Ferrero Rocher's creations.  Also, there's no bows or glitter to be found on the packaging, creating the perfect opportunity to tuck a box to the side in preparation for when some guest or other has inevitably been forgotten!  ''Oh yes, I put your present somewhere around here, one second....''

I hope I've been of some help with arguably one of the trickiest Christmas tasks - finding gifts for men!  Though, if all the gift-searching is driving you mad, perhaps it's time to treat yourself by joining me in a spot of online shopping?! Seriously, please do, it'll make me feel better about all of the items sitting in my virtual shopping basket tonight...

With love,

Gabrielle x

  3. Such great gift ideas, Gabrielle! I often find it challenging to gift my husband come the holidays because he's so difficult! I've done well, though, in recent years with choosing colognes. With that, I have to look into that Versace deodorant stick; I've never came across it, so thanks for sharing. Oh, and you've also given me an idea in giving a scarf, I don't know why I hadn't thought of that before, so simple and practical!

Thanks again for sharing, beautiful, and have a wonderful weekend!

I think candles are always a great route to go down but I'm really deciding on getting Daniel Wellingtons for them, now! What a great guide, Gabrielle!
