The length of the dress is a really welcome surprise for me, for as I've mentioned before, my height and length of my legs means skirts/dresses usually end up looking much shorter than intended! The flattering length meant ankle boots and sheer tights were an option, broken up by a pair of cable-knit socks. Ordinarily, I'm the first to raise my eyebrows at the sight of exposed legs come wintertime, however for some reason I've been uncharacteristically warm lately. Hey, speaking as a former ice-cube... I'm not complaining! Though having said that, I doubt anyone is ever warm enough to brave the British December weather for longer than a few moments without outerwear of some sort. So, thanks to the simple design of the Vero Moda dress, the ostrich feather gilet I picked up at the Ideal Home Show last week received a good airing - and it really did, the wind nearly knocked me over at one point!

The #MyStyleMyDress challenge has come at the perfect time - just when I was beginning to lose hope in finding 'essential' dresses for my wardrobe that provide the perfect foundation for accessorising. Speaking of which, I'll be spending the next couple of days in the beautiful spa town of Bath and I'm SO looking forward to checking out the jewellery at both the chic stores that remain open until late come this time of year, as well as the Christmas market stalls - ah! Anticipate a travel diary!
