There's little point in denying I'm a complete and utter candle fanatic, at least not when the majority of blog posts on A Glass Of Ice feature one in the background! With that said, it would seem appropriate to list ten of the candle brands currently swirling around my mind, bedroom and shopping list. To avoid gushing about Bahoma, I'll let the images in this post do the talking for the London-based candle and luxury fragrance destination and move on to shedding some light on ten other options. You'll recognise some of the featured names and some will no doubt be new introductions, either way, if you're also a candle fanatic then this list will be some sort of fragrant, waxy heaven..

You made it! Joking aside, it's been a lot of fun reliving my experience of last week's spa break at Champneys Henlow Health Resort and so without further ado, for this third and final instalment of my account, we'll launch straight into coronation chicken sandwiches and wholemeal scones!

Picking up from where I left off in Part One, after lounging around in our dressing gowns for a little while longer, at around six in the evening we began getting ready for dinner. Although the general dress code allows dressing gowns or general loungewear throughout the day (yes, you can enjoy the buffet lunch in the comfort of your Champneys-branded dressing gown!), they request that guests wear casual/smart clothing for dinner. Now, although I'm sure many people would rather reluctantly throw on their smart attire after having previously rolled around in their dressing gowns, I have to admit to loving any sense of occasion. If it involves heels and a blow dry, I'm in! Regrettably, I didn't take my camera down for dinner, however it didn't feel appropriate considering Champneys is a place of relaxation and the last thing I wanted was to make anybody feel uncomfortable. However, I did bring away a copy of the evening's menu with me, allowing me to share my deliciously healthy three-course meal on A Glass Of Ice:
Starter - Artichoke, Mozzarella and Black Olive Pizza (Tortilla Wrap, Pesto and Rocket)
Main - Roasted Corn-fed Chicken Breast with Honey Roasted Root Vegetables
Dessert - Mango Fruit Fool with Passion Fruit and Popcorn

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that last week I travelled to Champneys Henlow Health Resort to spend a few days there and although I was hoping to come away feeling relaxed, I don't think I could have anticipated just how relaxed I would be when leaving the resort. After a discussion late last year with my mum revealed she had never been on a spa break, I booked us in for a springtime break to enjoy together! Fast forward to last week and we were driving towards Henlow in 25.5°C (the hottest day of the year so far) with our 2pm check-in time in sight..

I should start by holding my hands up and admitting to have never had a proper skincare routine until recently. It was only through blogging and stumbling across various jokes comparing face-wipes to other deathly and abrasive objects that it dawned on me I really wasn't taking care of my skin. Ironically, I've always been meticulous when it comes to body products, however unfortunately my face has never received the same level of care - until now! Well actually, until about two months ago (February 26th, to be exact), at which point I approached a Clarins Specialist and rather naively asked her for some help..

Looking back over previous posts on A Glass Of Ice, there's a definite pattern of excitement on my end whenever a new season breaks through. I think it's due to the possibility of a 'fresh start', 'clean slate' and if desired, opportunity to start a new chapter - what could be better than that?! I thought a gentle way of marking the arrival of Spring would be to list seven reasons in that it improves life.. and so whether you're in a good place or not-so-pleasant place right now, you can be reminded that no matter what is going on in your life, nature is taking care of the seasons and you simply have to live among them..
''The beautiful Spring came; and when Nature resumes her loveliness,
the human soul is apt to revive also''

It could be the start of Autumn, the middle of Winter, the height of Summer or the beginning of Spring and given the opportunity, I will place myself within National Trust grounds. If you leaf through my blog for a little while, you'll find that most of the lush green grounds sporadically photographed are in fact grounds/gardens belonging to the National Trust. If I could spend my entire life on National Trust ground with a DSLR in one hand and a toffee crunch ice cream in the other, trapped in a loop of Spring and Summer.. I absolutely would.

Late last week I braved the Bank Holiday crowds to pick up a few small things. Although my main intention was to shoot out, indulge in an impossibly large slice of chocolate cake and return home with Paperchase mini cards and envelopes for the winners of the Lipsy London cosmetic palette giveaway (as can be seen on my Instagram), there was very little chance of making it back to my car without something catching my eye. Sure enough, it wasn't long before I was having the gorgeously feminine YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick applied to my lips in Beige Tribute (10)..

It's time for the third instalment in my Hotel Wishlist series! Now that Spring seems to have finally made an appearance (or at least, the daffodils have), I thought it'd be appropriate to choose a hotel in a sunny, seaside destination.. and so, say hello to the Hilton Brighton Metropole! The hotel was recently brought to my attention after hearing a relative's positive recount of their stay there. The first thing to note is that it's predominantly a conference hotel, however considering my relatives were visiting Brighton for rock sticks and seawater, it would seem the hotel accommodates a wide variety of guests.
