Ciate Cookies and Cream
Hello there, 2016! I've been a loyal fan of nude nail shades for as long as I can remember now, so after months of attempting to break the mould by experimenting with various other colours, it seemed the perfect choice to welcome in the New Year. Ah, the warm embrace of familiarity! I've returned to nude nails once more in the form of Ciate's Cookies and Cream, a flattering light taupe shade that sits somewhere on the scale between beige and grey. I'd forgotten how much love I had stored up for nude nails; this milky nude provides a polished canvas for any jewellery combination and most of all, creates the beautiful illusion of both elongated fingers and a calm disposition...
The desire to attain the look of 'my nails, but better' began many years ago for me as the French manicure, however I have a sneaking suspicion I'm not alone when I say the wide margin for error and time consuming process proved often to be a turnoff. Since then, nude nails have come onto the scene and wowed all of us who long to look down at our hands and be met by chic, polished fingernails. Swoon! They provide a sort of understated elegance and not just because they have the ability to hide chips far better than strawberry-red and matte black nail polishes!
Ciate's Cookies and Cream as my first nail colour of 2016. It's a shade that - when paired with an impressive top coat - requires little upkeep, leaving you with more time to work towards your goals, visualise your dreams... and smell the roses!
Psst! Cookies and Cream is currently on sale at Ciate London.
