Ciate Cookies and Cream

ciate cookies and cream review
Hello there, 2016!  I've been a loyal fan of nude nail shades for as long as I can remember now, so after months of attempting to break the mould by experimenting with various other colours, it seemed the perfect choice to welcome in the New Year.  Ah, the warm embrace of familiarity!  I've returned to nude nails once more in the form of Ciate's Cookies and Cream, a flattering light taupe shade that sits somewhere on the scale between beige and grey.  I'd forgotten how much love I had stored up for nude nails; this milky nude provides a polished canvas for any jewellery combination and most of all, creates the beautiful illusion of both elongated fingers and a calm disposition...

ciate cookies and cream The desire to attain the look of 'my nails, but better' began many years ago for me as the French manicure, however I have a sneaking suspicion I'm not alone when I say the wide margin for error and time consuming process proved often to be a turnoff.  Since then, nude nails have come onto the scene and wowed all of us who long to look down at our hands and be met by chic, polished fingernails.  Swoon!  They provide a sort of understated elegance and not just because they have the ability to hide chips far better than strawberry-red and matte black nail polishes!

Yep, it feels 'right' opting for Ciate's Cookies and Cream as my first nail colour of 2016.  It's a shade that - when paired with an impressive top coat - requires little upkeep, leaving you with more time to work towards your goals, visualise your dreams... and smell the roses!

Psst!  Cookies and Cream is currently on sale at Ciate London.

Needless to say, I'm smitten, though I'd love to hear your thoughts on this milky nude polish.  By the way, Happy New Year!  I hope 2016 treats you all spectacularly well and remember, the best is yet to come - so keep on dreaming!

With love,

Gabrielle x

I had a dark plum colour by them with a slight glittery hint in it called Wait Until Dark which I wore all the time until I used it up. I love nude nails too - they're great for work or more formal occasions and you're right, they look lovely with your rings and do elongate the nails! Lovely. - Tasha

  58. No kidding about nude nails, I adore it too and you're right about it being understated elegance. I do have to be really picky about the nude shades that I use on my nails but that's because they generally washes me out. How long does this Ciate nail polish last on your nails, Gabrielle? Do they chip easily?

  63. I used to only wear nude shades but in 2015, I fell in love with bright red colors. My heart still skips a beat for those beautiful nude shades like the one you're wearing. I only remember Ciaté for the caviar polish and the polish that looks like velvet. I didn't know they also made "regular" polish too (in very nice shades, I see):) Beautiful photos, I think I've said it before, but you have very photogenic hands:)

  71. Your nails look so beautiful, Gabrielle, I adore that nude shade! I couldn't agree with you more, I prefer a nude color over French tips, which was extremely popular in the early 2000's and a design I always had on my nails; I would always get them professionally done. To sit there and do them yourself is certainly time consuming, as it is extremely noticeable if the lines aren't even because they're white. Essie's Lady Like is one of my go-to nude colors, but I'll have to check this one out, it's so beautiful and I love the name :)

I hope you're having a wonderful start to the New Year, beautiful!
