Unique Designs, Places of Mine...
Unintentionally, I can see my life becoming more heavily inspired by nature than ever before. It creeps its way in through garden walks, glasshouses filled with tropical plants, sugar crafted flowers on top of cakes and in this instance, a portfolio bag by Cabuxa titled 'The Garden of the Dreams'. As you may have cottoned on by now, I'm more than happy to dive into an abundance of green leaves and flowers. So, with this in mind, I set off to one of my favourite glasshouses in the South to introduce this busy portfolio bag to the world of humidifiers and colourful orchids...
Based in the north of Spain (Galicia), Cabuxa pride themselves on combining artisan leatherwork with unique design. Unique is certainly the word in the case of this portfolio bag; soft flowers meet with fierce alternatives and what at first appears as a gentle garden scene, soon reveals itself to be something much more sinister! Speaking as someone who is determined to find unique and beautiful accessories to pair with the mass of 'basics' sitting in my wardrobe (think v-neck t-shirts and block colour maxi skirts), this functional bag has a special place in my heart.
As I wandered through the glasshouse, I couldn't help but wonder whether it was a similar environment that inspired the artist who designed this clutch; Cabuxa's creative world is made up of their very own Gallery of Artists, whose collective designs feature on the brand's leather products. It would seem my new friend was designed by 'Pekolejo', as shown by the printed name added to one of the corners!
I have a feeling this portfolio clutch by Cabuxa is settling in nicely to its new surroundings... or at least I hope so, as I've no doubt I'll be introducing it to many more of my favourite nature-infused haunts over upcoming months!
