See that 'Part One' mention? Mm, yeah that means I'll be sharing a lot of snaps from this month's return to the South of France! As a general rule, while exploring other cities/climates, I do my best to put down the tech and see the world first hand. However, the Côte d'Azur really doesn't encourage that - every other second you're faced with new picture-perfect views of sprawling landscapes, glistening pools of water and clusters of tropical plants! Balancing living in the moment and capturing it for later is an art and one that I'm only now beginning to learn; instead of 'snap, snap and move on', I've been taking the time to capture and then... sit. I've been sitting, watching and appreciating. So, scroll on knowing that a lot of love has been poured into each and every one of these moments!

It's safe to say throughout my time here underneath the Côte d'Azur's sun, the idea of putting on anything other than a bikini has been a gruelling thought. However, surprise surprise, clothing is mandatory while exploring the area's beauty! After finally giving in to temptation and experimenting with midi dresses lately, somewhere along the line I fell head over heels in love with the style. So, when I knew I'd be returning to a spectacular church earlier this week in the heart of Saint-Raphaël, I took the opportunity to see what I could do with this gorgeous tropical-print midi dress to cover my shoulders, without boiling alive...

If you've checked out my Instagram or Twitter over the past week, you'll know I'm currently in the South of France - and loving every second of it! However, before reaching the beautiful Côte d'Azur area, a brief stopover was on the cards in the French city of Besançon. Not much was required of the stay other than comfort and silence before moving on, though the Best Western Citadelle hotel went one step further and also offered an ideal location and pretty amazing lobby.

So I spontaneously returned to Polesden Lacey on an overcast afternoon and well, be still my beating heart! It's been years and years since I've visited the Edwardian house, having last walked through its grounds over a decade ago. I'd imagine this plays a part when it comes to my fondness of the place, but you can be sure the rest can be put down to its sheer beauty. With a refreshingly feminine note running through most aspects of both the house and grounds, I'm certain this is somewhere I'll be returning to more frequently...

Treat time! Though it may be impossible for me to jump through screens and hug everyone, I can do the second best thing to thank both old and new readers of A Glass Of Ice - have a giveaway! As a way of spreading some love, I've put together a couple of goodies by two of my favourite cosmetics brands: Elizabeth Arden and Lancôme. The Lancôme lipstick is in the gorgeous shade of Rouge Saint Honoré (a vibrant red) and within Elizabeth Arden's perfect packaging lies their Beautiful Colour Eyeshadow Duo in Tempting Taupe.

I'm past throwing tantrums over England's temperamental weather for a little while, though I'll admit it's got less to do with acceptance, and more to do with this summer's upcoming travels! I'm counting down the days to this month's return to the South of France and the beautiful weather that (hopefully) awaits! Besides stressing about my severe lack of bikinis and time to get everything done between now and wheeling my suitcase off to Sainte-Maxime, my mind is firmly fixed on colourful settings and sure, pretty things. There's nothing so inspiring as travelling and I'm beginning to wonder whether this can apply even before you've been away; for one reason or another, the idea of becoming reacquainted with the South of France prompted me to fall into this Alice in Wonderland themed concept with a warm, tropical twist...
