Reset Your Fitness Goals | 3 Months To Go!

Cocobay Seafolly Activewear ReviewTomorrow marks the beginning of October; one of the cosiest months of the year thanks to those feel-good Autumnal vibes.  It's also the month we begin retreating indoors to escape the lowering temperature.  Hey, no judgement here - I'm already grumbling at those freezing cold sprints from the car into the gym!  But with just three months to go until 2018, it's worth taking a peek at the fitness goals you set yourself for this year.  Close to achieving them?  Personally, I feel as though this is one of the best months of the year to kick things up a notch.  With so many events and celebrations being just around the corner (as well as a new year!), there's plenty of reason to reset your fitness goals, kick yourself into action and end the year on a high!

Seafolly Active Indian Summer Aztec LeggingsAs much as I love running outdoors, I have to admit one of the massive benefits of working out in a gym is not having to pack away the vests.  I'm serious.  It'd be a shame to hide luxe pieces like this Seafolly black vest under multiple layers!  Speaking of which, new activewear is still one of the most effective ways to refresh your mindset ahead of a new workout regime.  My advice?  Look around for a few new pieces to add to your activewear wardrobe.  In my case, having shied away from patterned leggings for years, I'm now a convert thanks to these Seafolly Aztec beauties via Cocobay - such a fun way of adding some 'sparkle' to an otherwise hot-and-sweaty workout!

  2. Oh man, my fitness "journey" reached a screeching halt around the end of Summer. I do agree that now is a good time to get them on track/push on. You're motivating me Gabrielle!

  3. Good advice about how to re-motivate yourself to exercise! :) I don't really have the time or energy to do more than walk the dog so I just focus on eating healthier - I know I'll be able to get back to my regular swimming when the boys are a little older :)

Hope you are having a really good weekend!

  4. You are right, this is the month when we are all planning to be curled up on the couch. This year my goal was to loose 7 kilos, I started 2 months ago and kept a diet and went for run and walks often but I only kept it for a month and lost about 3,5kilos. Soon I will have to get back on track cause by the end of the year, I have to loose my 7 kilos, it was on my list to do for this year. Hugs, Miha :)

  11. I picked up Yoga this year and has been practicing although on and off, so I consider that a step forward in my fitness journey, haha. My next step forward would be doing it as a routine. My husband and I have been talking so much about picking up a sporty habit but boy it is very hard to do! but thanks for the reminder. it is very important to stay healthy, especially with all the junk food that keeps getting more and more delicious these days, hahaha. you look great babe.

I've recently started training for the marathon and have been so lucky with the weather and have to admit that I'm kind of dreading the cold evenings and rain.. EW!

  14. I didn't know Seafolly did sportswear! I love their bikinis so I will have to check it out. I usually workout at home - for some reason I find it easier to motivate myself to do that rather than go to the gym. x

  18. My fitness has been all over the place this year because of my ankle injury. I've still been doing yoga continuously but running has been off the table for quite some time. Thankfully my PT has been going well and I've been cleared to start jogging again soon.

  28. You're looking like pure paradise in these patterned leggings gorgeous Gabrielle, you always rock the best work-out gear and leave me feeling totally inspired and motivated :D I love your uplifting spirit beaut babe, I totally agree 100% that this time of year is a great time to remind ourselves of our goals and think forward and into the motion that we want the forthcoming months to resemble. I'm doing a work-out dvd which I've actually managed to (occasionally) keep to as well as the park run with my dad. We've stopped going so often now but I hope to pick it up again soon as I was really getting into it. I definitely want to up my fitness game in the next few months <3 <3

  32. I need to get active again, these days my yoga practise has fallen to twice a week because I just don't have the time. In between work, blog, family and now that little one is at school, I find it harder than ever to find time to do anything for myself.

  33. I'm still far from my fitness goals even though I workout almost daily. I don't do outdoor runs though especially now when fall in Bergen means constant rain and all.

  34. I love your workout clothes, the leggings is very pretty! I also love your skin, you look so fair! I haven't been jogging/running but I'm on a roll with making sure I take at least 10,000-20,000 steps a day. I've never been more OCD with my fitness, to be honest. I even calorie-count now! I just hope I won't be swayed to stop comes December…

Your fitness progress is coming along very nicely and I think you look incredible Gabrielle :)

My fitness journey started in 2012 and I haven't looked back, it's great to keep fit and being consistent really is key to seeing results. I haven't joined a gym before as you know, but I do love working out from home doing my beloved HIIT and some weight training too :)

  50. Haha the freezing cold sprints from the gym to car are the WORST! I actually love October for fitness because it finally cools down enough in Colorado to have nice runs outside. I'm 6 weeks into the BBG workouts too and LOVING them. Ben of course is always on 100 with fitness, but he's been kicking it up a notch the past few weeks too. Gotta get ready for all of the yummy holiday treats in our future!

  51. I don't stop with my workout routine at any point throughout the year, but my enthusiasm for it definitely varies - I always find that October is the month that I get a little boost of exercise motivation! I do tend to retreat to the gym rather than outside over the winter months though as I have really poor circulation and in the cold even an hour of running cant stop my hands turning blue. Absolutely love those leggings! xxx
