Beauty Edit: October Favourites

With so many gorgeous beauty releases lately stepping onto the scene, I dread to think the damage I'll do in the lead-up to the festive season!  However this month has told quite a different story, I haven't tried many new products and instead found myself with just a handful of standout favourites.  In hindsight, I've been subconsciously reaching for products that aim to preserve healthy-looking skin, rather than glitzing it up with smokey eyes and a swimming pool of highlighter.  I'm saving that for December...

First up is Clarins BB Skin Detox Fluid, a breathable texture targeting unbalanced skin in need of a healthy glow.  The natural-looking finish has been totally up my street and it lasts pretty well throughout the day too.  Personally, I've spent this past month wearing it by day, before switching to foundation in the evening (unless I'm at home and then you know the drill: make-up off, hair up, loungewear on).

Tangle Teezer Compact Styler Markus Lupfer c/o - This isn't an October favourite, it's a lifetime favourite.  I've been using detangling brushes by Tangle Teezer for the best part of four years now and they've 100% contributed to the healthiness of my long hair.  I use mine after washing my hair when it's at its most delicate, this way I limit as much breakage as possible by avoiding brushes less able to cope with tangles.  And thanks to Tangle Teezer, I've been treated to the gorgeous new Markus Lupfer design to add to my collection, featuring a glittery lip print, protective cover and innovative two-tiered teeth design.

Benefit It's Potent! Eye Cream - In need of a decent eye cream and having read glowing reviews about Benefit's It's Potent! Eye Cream, I picked up a pot a couple of weeks ago.  I put in place a proper skincare regime a year or two ago but failed to continue looking after my eyes (I know, it's terrible), so anything would be an improvement on that front.  I've got a lot of experimenting ahead of me to identify the perfect cream for my eyes, however for now Benefit's little pot of magic is performing well.  No drastic results, but my eyes in general feel much more comfortable.

If you swear by a particular eye cream, or have one in mind to recommend - let me know!

DKNY Eau de Toilette 30ml - A lovely little surprise came my way earlier this month thanks to Uzo from Style n' Beauty Lounge.  Uzo held a giveaway as a way of thanking readers and this fragrance-fanatic won!  I've found the scent to be beautifully fresh and a great way of perking me up in the mornings - because I am not a morning person.  It's a fresh and exciting scent; one that has a definite sense of modernity about it.  
Mii Cosmetics Moisturising Lip Lover in Fearless c/o and Alluring Lip Liner in Poise c/o - This is undoubtedly the sexiest lip duo I've ever tried, and it's a bold shade of red I was introduced to while recently filming makeup tutorials with Mii Cosmetics.  I modelled two looks, one of which focussed on Bridal Beauty and another that featured this fierce lip duo.  As much as I love wearing 'no-makeup makeup', I can definitely feel myself becoming more and more interested in playing around with options and colours.
