Fashion blogger boohoo collaboration UKAs many people have said before, this time of year offers a fresh perspective.  I still haven't quite worked out why that's the case (any ideas?), and yet here I am revisiting and tweaking most things in some way.  One of those 'things' is my wardrobe.  Last season's wardrobe changeover was fairly straight forward, however this Autumn I'm looking at so many of my clothes and wondering why on earth I've held onto them!  As I said, fresh perspective.  And the timing couldn't have been better, as Boohoo offered to help me declutter through their current partnering with selected charities; giving second life to old clothing by donating, and trying out a new style.  Out with the old, in with the new!

Simple black velvet choker velcro DIYI'm no stranger to donating clothes to charity, having doing so regularly while growing up - and it's refreshing to discover through blogging that many, many others have been doing the same.  With fashion moving at such a fast pace, it's comforting to know the clothes you're quickly 'done' with are going to good homes!  After selecting a few pieces to donate (more on that later), I opted for an all-black look from Boohoo featuring versatile pieces that work just as well together, as they could separately.  I'm thrilled to have jumped on board the sock-boots bandwagon, and the black trench coat immediately won a special place in my heart, thanks to being a piece I hadn't realised I was missing until I was wearing it!

Psst!  Boohoo are collaborating with TRAID, a 'fashion reuse charity' working to tackle the negative environmental and social justice impacts of fashion by stopping unwanted clothes from being thrown away.  You can donate your old clothes to TRAID by dropping them off at any of their 11 charity shops and/or 1300 clothes reuse banks.  Better yet, you can book a free home collection - book online via their website.

Farewell old friends - enjoy your new homes!
So going back to the idea of this season bringing a 'fresh perspective', I'm now heading into the colder weather with more room in my wardrobe, a good feeling in my heart and even more resolve to find other things to revisit and tweak!

With love,
