Joe Browns autumn winter 2016 2017Earlier this week, I was waiting for a train to come in when I overheard a guy asking a woman out.  Honestly, their conversation was probably one of the sweetest I've ever heard.  Ever.  Sure, trains/tubes have a pretty bad rep when it comes to approaching strangers, but their little shared moment reminded me of how platforms aren't totally off limits when it comes to meeting people. So, to go hand-in-hand with Joe Browns' latest focus on travel, I considered what it'd be like to wait on a platform without looking grumpy whilst munching through a pack of Minstrels...

Joe Browns Wartime fur trim cardigan blackYay!  Boot season!  I'm obsessing over so many different ankle-boot, knee length and OTK boots right now, though I'll admit I started adding to my shoe-wardroe much earlier in the year.  I picked up these black suede beauties back in March, having become utterly infatuated with their plain leather sister version.  I'd point you in their direction, though sadly they've now been discontinued - hmm, guess I'd better take good care of them.  These plaid trousers have been a surprising discovery this season, as I honestly can't remember purchasing them (tell me I'm not the only one who's done this?!).  The colour combination of blue and green is totally up my street, making them the perfect - though unexpected - pairing for this fur-collared cardigan by Joe Browns.  Ah, I just love the old school glamour of having (faux) fur pressed up and/or around the neck, it's so cosy!

Joe Browns' Make the Journey campaign is a great way of combining fashion with travel, something I love (with a capital L) to do. Speaking of which, I've just come back from spending some time in the Cotswolds, so keep your eyes peeled for a peek inside a Victorian Gothic mansion hotel!

With love,
