Cardigan - Joe Browns Wartime Fur Trim Cardigan c/o
Trousers - Sfera
Boots - (discontinued since March purchase)

Joe Browns' Make the Journey campaign is a great way of combining fashion with travel, something I love (with a capital L) to do. Speaking of which, I've just come back from spending some time in the Cotswolds, so keep your eyes peeled for a peek inside a Victorian Gothic mansion hotel!
With love,
Gabrielle x
That's just the cutest dating story - old fashioned romance at its best....I hope she said yes to a first date! Loving the trousers - I need to get started on my autumn wardrobe this weekend! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely post and I did smile reading the part about you munching through a pack of Minstrels which you happen to keep in your bag at all times ;)
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful story to hear about the romance at the train station, what a lovely moment to witness!
Your outfit here is gorgeous, those trousers fit you so nicely and as for your boots, they're gorgeous!
Looking forward to your post about the Gothic Castle, that sounds just up my street :)

I love your boots! However, the pants remind me of my early teenage years, when I tried to dress a bit punk :D And I would wear pants that were similar to these and I loved them! I love how you styled these xx

Love the pants and those boots are amazing!!!! Such a great combination. :)
ReplyDeleteAww I love stories like that! I've overheard a few 'ask outs' and they are always so cute. Luckily none have gone terribly wrong haha. Loving this outfit on you! Those boots are to die for. Hope you have a great weekend!

I love a bit of faux fur, I wear big faux fur coats all winter and they keep you so warm, so wearing a collar like that would take the place of a scarf. Plus they're super cosy and look awesome too.

Awww, I bet the conversation is really sweet! Well, as long as the guy wasn't rude or being a douche about it then the girl should at least give the lad a chance. Now on to your outfit, I love everything, Gabrielle! This has to be one of my top 3 favourites from you.
ReplyDeleteShireen | Reflection of Sanity

Those plaid trousers are gorgeous and I love how you have styled them :) I'm all about a patterned trouser so these would definitely be right up my street. It's a shame the boots have been discontinued as I am looking for some new knee high ones but I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for something similar. x

That train platform story is so cute! I love hearing about people getting together in the "old fashioned" way in this media driven age we live in. And how fabulous is this outfit! The whole look is just perfectly coordinated and you are just rocking those plaid trouser Gabrielle!

I absolutely LOVE your outfit, Gabrielle! What a lovely sight at the train stop. :) I am also a huge fan of boots. It is so nice to have something pleasurable to look forward to when it isn't as warm and sunny outside. I also love your faux fur collar. I am a huge fan of faux fur, although I don't want to look huge, which is how I feel when trying on many styles of coats. That collar is just perfect - so cozy looking and chic. Have a lovely weekend, and thanks for sharing your beautiful look! XO

Aw, that's so sweet, I hope it works out with the two of them, that'll make for a nice story! My husband and I met at a bus stop nearly 11 years ago! Haha, he would not leave me alone, though he was charming, so I engaged in the convo and here we are celebrating 8 years married today :) As for your outfit, I adore those trousers, can they be any more perfect for fall!? Such a great find and green looks AMAZING on you! I'm also swooning over those boots, too! Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you have a great weekend ahead!

I've overheard a lot of interesting/emotive conversations/ things in my life, but I don't think I've ever overheard something while waiting for a train. Mostly it was either in buses or on ferries, or waiting for one of those two. I don't take the train often, because they tend to be on the pricy side here (that is to bad because I really love train).
ReplyDeleteThis location is so lovely! There is something very retro about trains, even when they're brand new. These photographs turned out fantastic. I love how the light catches your hair...the whole vibe of this shot is so sunny and perfect. Just want I imagine an ideal Autumn day to be like. Today we actually had such a day here, after a few days of rain and I finally did go out for that walk.
Your outfit is very stylish and chic. I love the fur collar...that's always a nice touch and a sure way to glam up one's look. The boots are amazing and I do like how you paired them with those trousers...btw those tartan pants look fantastic on you. I'm a big fan of tartan...always have been. You look absolutely beautiful dear!!!
Love the colour combination in your outfit here Gabrielle, the dark green print on your trousers is perfect for this time of year. And yes you're right, having faux fur on a hood is perfect for this time of year - instant warmth! Love the fact you overhead someone being asked out while waiting for the train too, so cute! - Tasha
ReplyDeleteAwe, I love hearing stories like that! How romantic and unexpected :) You look great, Gabrielle. I love Autumn fashions too, especially boots. Ankle or knee high boots...it's a nice problem to have! Have a great weekend, Angharad x

I've missed your blog so much, Gabrielle! actually, leaving a comment. I've been reading it on the phone during work breaks but happy to sit down and leave a few words and just let you know how I am always enjoying every single one of your posts, lovely <3 I must send you a proper msg soon as well. Life just happens and takes over. Anyway, back to this wonderful post! Love this gorgeous and cozy fall look. Those boots are stunning!! And the trousers (I would normally say pants but I know it's inappropriate in the UK lol) are so on point! You pull them off perfectly.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, my parents met on the train :) My dad came up to my mum as she was reading a book and asked her if she was enjoying in. She, being a super intelligent and "posh" girl (lol), looked him up and down (he was wearing work clothes as he used to have a part-time job as a builder when he was a student) and said to him: "Yes, and I am sure you don't read such books" (how rude, right?). Well, thank goodness he didn't give up and said: "In fact, I read this one 5 times and would love to discuss it with you over a cup of coffee" (see, my dad is a smart cookie, very intelligent engineer so mum didn't know who she was talking to lol). So yeah, I am so happy they met like that :)

I always talked to strangers on a train when I lived in the states. However, in the UK, I feel like sometimes some people may feel weird to make a conversation at some points because we don't know each other. However, I met a few ladies who made a conversation with me on the train to London hehe :)
