Donna Ida for Jaeger Liv Jeans Flared Black DenimAs much as I love to experiment with denim, I realised recently just how predictable I'd become when it comes to purchasing jeans. Skinny jeans and more skinny jeans.  However, after having been surprised with a voucher from Jaeger after winning their #JaegerStyle competition with a bardot top and denim pencil skirt, I seized the opportunity to change my (bad) habit.  I'll be introducing my other style selections over the next month or so, but for now I'm fixated on these gorgeous flared jeans, another Donna Ida for Jaeger design that has worked its way into my cold-weather wardrobe!

I'm quickly remembering the beauty of flared jeans, in particular how accommodating they can be of various boots come the colder months of the year.  In this instance, I've opted for heeled tan boots by Hobbs to match the gorgeous orange/mustard shade of the cardigan, along with a velvet bralet worn underneath to ensure no accidental underwear-peepshow!

Psst!  Take a larger size than you need to ensure a looser fit of the cardigan.

Jaeger black faux fur bobble top beanie hatIs it just me or does accessory shopping become way more exciting at this time of year?  I'm convinced the options are better, though I'm probably biased considering my love for standout black accessories.  On the tips of my dark manicure hangs a gold-chained box clutch by Biba, I'll admit I've got a bit of a thing for panthers and so after spotting this at House of Fraser last week, it was an immediate purchase ready for the festive party season.  On a more casual note, this bobble hat was another selection from Jaeger with my voucher in hand, a style I also picked up in Ivory (cream knit, black faux fur) in anticipation of this year's visits to the Christmas markets in Germany!

Styling a colourful oversized cardigan for winter 2016So it's safe to say I've been re-introduced to a world where jean styles other than skinnies exist - and not a moment too soon! Anyway I'd love to hear what your current favourite jean style is; skinny, boyfriend fit, flared (etc)?!

With love,
