What to wear to a winter wedding as a guest featuring Coast dressHaving only ever attended spring/summer weddings up until now, I'm super excited to be attending a couple of winter weddings this year!  I've probably watched too many romantic Christmas films, but there definitely seems to be something magical about a winter wedding concept.  So, fast forward to mid-winter and you'll most likely be wanting to cover your arms to avoid the sound of your chattering teeth echoing through the venue.  However, with the next month or so in mind (once winter kicks in), what could you wear as a guest to a winter wedding?

With weddings being such a happy occasion, the idea of writing off colour completely doesn't sit well with me!  Instead I've reached for this pretty number by Coast, but then paired it with all-black accessories to be in fitting with the season.  The addition of faux fur, ostrich feather or pretty much any other soft outerwear then makes for a quick and chic way of updating an otherwise chilly look to the winter celebration.  Finishing touches?  Think pared-down fascinators, dark hosiery and a berry lip.  Oh, and a pair of skyscraper heels can't hurt!

Winter weddings have given me yet another reason to adore the season and all that comes with it.  It's so exciting seeing images pop up on my feed of Christmas lights starting to be turned on, and weather reports of upcoming snow (here's hoping)!  I hope my tips have given you some food for thought - and if you've been to a winter wedding (church or otherwise), I'd love to hear what you wore?!

With love,
