UK fashion blog glasshouse photoshootWith so many beautiful Spring pieces starting to hit stores, it can be a challenge to weigh up wearing them now and freezing to death, or packing them away and hoping you still like them come April.  However, transitional styling has a great reputation for a good reason - you can get stuck into upcoming season styles without sacrificing warmth.  You're basically playing with two wardrobes at once!

Wolf & Whistle blue textured dress spring/summer 2017
Wolf & Whistle dress detailsThis beautiful light blue and sleeveless dress by Wolf & Whistle is part of their new SS17 collection, and completely stole my attention at first glance.  Along with a strange fascination with glasshouse structures, I have a soft spot for pastel colours worn against black pieces.  In this case, I've dug out one of my favourite cropped jackets, a simple faux leather design featuring a shearling collar.  By mixing typical 'winter textures' like leather and shearling, with light materials and Springtime shades, you meet somewhere in the middle of the two seasons.  Win-win!

Styling a leather jacket to look more feminineAs much as I want to reach for all the blush and all the pink shades, I tend to opt for natural-looking makeup when arriving to the Spring party a couple of months early.  I've linked to some of my fave products below that I reach for when going for that 'my face but better' look.  They're all available at Boots and with 10% off everything using this code exclusively found at Voucher Box.  It's available on anything at Boots when you spend over £85, though be quick as it expires tomorrow!

Psst!  I'm wearing Lancôme Teint Miracle Foundation in 005 and Clarins Instant Concealer in 01.

Fashion blog styling spring clothing in winterWhile we're all waiting for the sun to come out and the temperature to climb back up, mixing winter and spring wardrobes can be a great way of bridging the gap between the seasons.  And at the very least, it means being able to justify those pretty Springtime purchases a couple of months in advance!  Do you have any fave ways of wearing Spring pieces earlier in the year?

With love,
