If you're a longterm reader of A Glass Of Ice, you'll no doubt recognise a few of the locations featured in this post - y'girl has her favourites! One of these regular haunts is Oyya, a waffle bar positioned on the corner of a street and one that stays open until late. Seriously, who could turn down the option of a warm waffle smothered in banana and drizzled with chocolate sauce? Not me, that's for sure. Twice.

Hmm, shall we choose door no. 47 or 51?! |

Many visitors on short stays tend not to make it quite as far as Minnewater Lake (Lake of Love), even though it's just a couple of minutes away from the busy streets lined with boutiques and chocolate shops. In this area, you'll find romantic weeping willow, a park filled with flowers (found behind the building shown below) and white swans gliding across the water. The Beguinage Convent can also be found here, complete with church, small museum and strict rule of silence within the grounds. Truly, this particular area of Bruges is like something from a fairytale - but where's my prince?

I enjoyed very much reading your post, even thought I've never been to Bruges reading your post feels like I am there. The arhitechture there looks exquisite and my favourite one of them all, aside from that delicious ice cream with chocolate topping on top, is the black church in your last pictures and nevertheless your beautiful dress. Great post, Gabrielle :)

Everything here has caught my eye! Bruges wasn't really on my places to see list but that's only because I didn't really have an idea of what was there or what kind of a place it was. After seeing this though I've added that to my travel bucket list, it looks so fairytale'esque and it sounds nerdy but it looks like there's some incredible architecture there as well!

Bruges looks breathtakingly beautiful, I need to put it on my travel bucket list. The architecture is stunning and the cobbled streets are so cute. I also adore your Ralph Lauren striped dress!

Oh my gosh, those waffles look absolutely divine! My mouth is watering just looking at your pics. I always get wanderlust from reading your blog and want to travel to all these places that you visit. Do you have any tips for getting the most out of holidays or saving - hit me up ;)
ReplyDeleteJaz xoxo
http://www.thelifeofasocialbutterfly.co.uk
Happy to hear that, Jasmine! Off the top of my head, a great way of getting the most out of a trip/holiday is to ensure your crossings/flights leave you with enough time to explore on the day you're both travelling in, and out, of a country!
Deleteeg. time to have dinner out once you've checked-in, and time to explore a museum/area and have lunch somewhere before flying back home.

Bruges looks amazing, and that chocolatey dessert is making me so hungry!
