One year on, how are you feeling about Hygge? Let me know if there are any particular ways you embrace the concept during these chillier months! Also, looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the loungewear featured in this post - can I get a show of hands from other loungewear lovers?!

It's perfect for this time of year! Though I'm sat with a fan in front of me as it's 32C in Oz, I'll be getting my Hygge on as soon as I step foot off that plane into 6am Manchester cold next week!

Even before we had a word for to, Hygge was a thing. And I doubt it will go out of style anytime soon!

I'm a huge loungewear lover as well, in fact I own more pyjamas and loungewear items than I do regular clothes. I remember the first time I read anything about Hygge and I gotta say, I did think initially that it meant something very different! :/

I only learned about "hygge" a few weeks ago but when I watched the documentary about it my initial reaction was... it's practically my life. I'm living that way without even being aware that there's a term used to describe such lifestyle XD

It's astyle and it's perfect have showned by you on your pictures - you look stunning dear- and you have so cute hat
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I'm also obsessed with amber and cinnamon candles! Anything pumpkin/cinnamon related, or anything musky and amber-y and I'm THERE. And secondly I have a really similar cashmere shawl/cape thing and it's basically the cosiest thing of all time. My mum gave it to me when I moved to Toronto because she thought I'd need it since it gets so cold over here, and now that it's getting a lot cooler I've loved wearing it around the house and cosying up with it on the lounge. It's so warm and soft!

Hygge is definitely still a thing in my book! Nothing beats embracing a slower paced lifestyle and appreciating the charms of all things cozy and comfy especially as the cold weather settles in. It works out especially well when one has FOGO ;p
ReplyDeleteHygge definitely helps me to justify my candle obsessed too! You look so cosy and elegant sat there, what a gorgeous morning too!

I don't think Hygge or cosiness will ever go out of trend, every time the colder weather arrives I will curl up in the thickest, chunkiest sweater available. LOL!

I really believe the Hygge trend was a blessing and will forever be incorporated into many of our routines. It was a highly accepted wakeup call perhaps because it was also aesthetically pleasing? Alas, I am glad the danish shared it with us !

Ultimate level of cozy in your pics! I'm in love with that hat. And I think that the concept of Hygge is amazing and something we ALL could benefit from adopting.
ReplyDeleteWe make our bed extra warm and cozy during the winter months and I absolutely love it! Especially on the weekend when we stay in for a little longer!

Hygge is definitely still alive and thriving! I'm currently in my warm uni room under fur blankets in a big fluffy dressing gown just finished drinking a hot tea. It's raining and cold outside and honestly it's so cosy and cute and it's just so... hygge! I adore these photos (as usual), they pretty much capture the entire concept haha. I've never had sheepskin slippers either, but you've pretty much sold me!

I am definitely trying to enjoy the downtime and hours spend at home much more than before, particularly in winter, as I am like a bee buzzing around the flowers in spring/summer :) Love the cozy and classy loungewear featured in this post, beautiful Gabrielle, the cashmere throw seems lovely and so does this northern hotel ♥ Happy hump-day, girl!
