Phew!  Would you take a look at that afternoon tea?!  I'm proud to say this was demolished in under fifteen minutes - but photographed for probably twice as long beforehand!  Last month I found myself in Torquay for a few days, staying at The Imperial Torquay.  While there, I seized the opportunity to indulge in an afternoon tea downstairs overlooking the harbour.  Blazing hot sunshine streaming through the windows, large helpings of condiments and glorious interior design to set the mood.  It was undoubtedly one of my all-time favourite afternoon teas... which got me thinking; what other fabulous, traditional afternoon teas can be found right now across the country?  Notepads at the ready, it's time to hunt down the tastiest scones in the UK!  The rules are loose, but sumptuous interior deign is a must...

I could quite happily live in any room of The Langham for the rest of my life, and the dining rooms are no exception.  It's decor heaven and that includes the food - afternoon tea is beautifully presented

Afternoon tea at The Ritz had been on my wishlist for a while, before being ticked off the list by Pandora Jewellery last month in a private dining room.  Dreamy!  If it's luxury you're after...

Book an overnight stay to enjoy the 5 star luxury of the hotel rooms and then the cream on top of the scone?  Book a tasty afternoon tea!  Encourage the men in your group to compete in a round of golf, and then scoff aaaall of the scones yourself!

After walking for miles and then taking a boat to Windermere, sitting down in a traditionally luxurious living room two years ago to enjoy afternoon tea in the Lake District was complete perfection.  The food is absolutely divine - a must when in the area

With a view of Buckingham Palace, The Rubens makes perfect sense for tourists exploring this part of London.  Oh and don't even get me started on that plush burgundy interior...

Arguably one of the most popular pink locations in the country, Sketch is the perfect location for a feminine afternoon tea in London.  Hello Instagrammable venue!

I'm yet to get around to exploring much of Ireland, but believe me that when I do, The Westbury in Dublin will be at the very top of my to-do list.  The interior design, the food, the location - I'm yet to read a bad review!
