Bandits Faux Fur | The Chic Way To Beat Winter

Mango Snakeskin Gold Chain Circle Bag
Winter?!  I know, I know, we've only just wrapped our heads around Autumn.  But considering next week marks the start of a new month, and one that screams of fireworks, drinks by the fire, chilly evenings and plenty of cosy layers, it seems apt to figure out now how to combat the dropping temperatures while still looking chic.  My advice?  Textures.  Textures, textures and more textures.  With this in mind, I've fallen head over heels in love with faux fur coats; with Bandits London showing me how this doesn't necessarily have to mean 'plain'.  Quite the opposite, in fact...

This is the true (dreamy!) shade of blue of the second stripe of the jacket - (my style of editing has taken out the saturation a little)
First and foremost, colour.  It only takes a brief dive into my blog's history to see this had been something I'd shied away from.  Well, that's certainly not the case now!  Taste changes, as does fashion.  And so thankfully, this gorgeous striped faux fur jacket has appeared exactly at the right time.  I'm all about chic, flattering tones and colour combinations that make the heart flutter.

Psst!  Take a peek at the Bandits London two-tone faux fur coat I wore last winter!

How to look chic in faux fur in winter
Ston Easton Park Hotel in Autumn 2018Ultimately, the way to look chic during the wintertime is to avoid chattering teeth and goosebumps running up your arms and legs, right?  Yet another reason to adore faux fur.  Which reminds me, Bandits London deal with only faux fur and so you also have the beauty of a clear conscience while wearing their bright and colourful designs.  Phew!  I'm a firm believer of there being very little reason to buy real fur now which other such luxurious options around now; I only wish you could feel how soft this jacket is through the screen.  It's pretty much like being wrapped in a hug!

  7. The faux fur trend is definitely something I want to get involved with this winter, surely there is nothing more snuggly to wear when you're cruelly forced to leave your toasty bed? I'm really loving the influx of teddy coats I've noticed cropping up perhaps that's where I need to start!

  10. Ooh I am very much enjoying this outfit! I am also guilty of shying away from colour in my wardrobe, but these neutral tones are just so beautiful and complement each other so well - faux fur always looks great when in these muted shades. Fab photos as always!

  11. I've seen a few winter faux fur coats but this looks so unique and I think it's the prettiest I've seen so far. The multilayer of colours and the just perfect 'puffiness' makes it beautiful.

  12. For me personally, faux fur never looks plain, it's always stylish and chic. However, not all faux fur jackets are as eye-catching as this one. I remember seeing a striped faux fur jacket on one blogger a few years ago, and I loved the look so much. You wear your cropped faux fur jacket so well. I really like the 3/4 sleeves on that jacket. As much as I like to bundle up, I have a habit of rolling up my sleeves and I just love coats with shorter sleeves. You've created a beautiful outfit for sure. Lovely pants and footwear choices as well. That snakeskin bag is adorable.

  13. Those colours are absolutely gorgeous! I don't actually own any faux fur and I think my style is maybe too casual for it, but I'm always drawn in by how cosy it looks!

  14. This jacket was MADE for your winter wonderland self gorgeous Gabrielle! I'm living for all the stunning colours, a real burst of colour to beat those winter blues. You slay faux fur so stylishly, looking like such a dream angel! I'm adoring your snakeskin bag, it works so magically with your outfit. I'm really into faux fur this year, I saw a bright pink jacket in Topshop that I've totally had my eye on :) They've brought out a purple one too now which is even more vibrant! Faux fur is such an uplifting way to add colour and sass into any winter wardrobe and always so fluffy and warm which is a total bonus! Such majestic photography as always gorgeous goddess, utterly transfixing and pure magic! ♥︎

  15. I love faux fur for winter, but I never thought about wearing colored one!

  16. Ahhh yes! Colour is such a key additon to any fall or winter outfit. Pinks and blues are my personal favorite when opting for a bright colour in the winter time. It may just be my inner child coming out, but it defintiely makes the love for all things sweet and the Nutcracker come alive haha. Speaking of, because I am not a cold weather person, I have been playing the Nutcracker and holiday music all weekend starting to get into the holiday season a little more. I adore the editing on this photo and the black jeans are a perfect way to contrast the colour on the coat. Hope you have a fabulous week ahead <3

  17. I love your bag, it is so trendy right now, I have a lot of snake print this season. But... your coat is A DREAM.
