This time of year tends to feel a bit hectic. Although, never so hectic that you can't find time somewhere along the line to enjoy an afternoon tea, surely?! Admittedly, I'll reschedule pretty much anything and everything to make way for a few finger sandwiches, but who can blame me with so many fabulous afternoon tea options around now! This month, I was sent by Prezzybox to one of Patisserie Valerie's beautiful locations to enjoy an afternoon tea, just one of their many Afternoon Tea experiences; a list which also features a vineyard tour and tasting complete with afternoon tea, as well as champagne afternoon tea for two at Marco Pierre White. For now though, it's all eyes on Patisserie Valerie and their warm scones, smoked salmon sandwiches and super generous gift box of cakes to take home with you afterwards...

First things first, the location. I opted for Windsor for this indulgent afternoon tea thanks to the covered outdoor seating area within Windsor Royal Station (no blue sky, no problem). It also meant mixing amongst tourists, meaning nearly everyone around me was also tucking into an afternoon tea! And you know what? I can't blame them. Because it was delicious! An array of finger sandwiches, followed by warm scones - both with, and without raisins - and an assortment of small, tasty desserts. Warm drinks are also included in the experience and so needless to say, I opted for a hot chocolate. It is hot chocolate season after all! Although of course tea and coffee are also available...

Okay, but now for the crème la crème... the gift box of cake to take home with you! After you've finished working your way through the afternoon tea, you're able to select four large slices of cake from their display to be boxed and taken home with you. Mmm. My two favourites from the selection I chose include the carrot cake, along with the chocolate and salted caramel cake slice. Honest opinion? This is hands down the best salted caramel and chocolate combination I've ever tasted. Youshould need to try it!
This is undoubtedly the perfect way of starting the weekend, or perhaps breaking up the working week. If you're also a superfan of indulging in the occasional afternoon tea here and there, be sure to take a peek at the selection of other Afternoon Tea Experiences available at Prezzybox. In the meantime, I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this experience. Have you ever visited Patisserie Valerie before? Let me know in the comments below!

Oh how I do enjoy a good afternoon tea. It's the perfect respite from a hectic week. You look impossibly chic enjoying this lovely occasion Gabrielle. I would do afternoon tea more often if there were more places that offered an option to skip the sweets as I don't eat sugar and much prefer savory treats ;)
ReplyDeleteEverything looks absolutely delicious...you have me wanting to go to my own afternoon tea! I love this entire look, Gabrielle. So chic yet cozy at the same time. I hope your week is off to a lovely start!

I've passed by a Patisserie Valerie before, but I've never gone in to check it out! I looove afternoon tea. It always feels so luxurious and indulgent. // Autumn is definitely the season for hot chocolate. I've already spent a few evenings curled up with a cup! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely the season for hot cocolate, although it feels kind of odd not to have tea with your afternoon tea, doesn´t it?
ReplyDeleteAnne|Linda, Libra, Loca
This is totally the best season for afternoon teas and treats! I've never been to Patisserie (I wonder if they do vegan options?). The cakes look absolutely indulgent. Bring on the hot chocolates. Nice post Gabrielle, have a smashing day : ) xo
