Ston Easton Park Hotel | Luxurious Countryside Weekend Break

Ston Eaton Park South East Hotel Room
Life has been pretty great recently, particularly due to a fair bit of travelling (and with plenty more around the corner - keep your eyes peeled over on my Instagram via @aglassofice!).  To celebrate the start of this exciting time of year, I booked an overnight stay at Ston Easton Park Hotel about a month ago to relax, unwind and soak up the picturesque surroundings.  The spectacular South East room was my home for the evening and came complete with countryside views, an abundance of cushions and plenty of space.  Located just outside of Bath, the countryside hotel is a luxurious, pet-friendly hotel with a (well deserved) award-winning fine dining restaurant and 36 acres of grounds.  After parking up and being greeted at the front door by the resident Cocker Spaniel, it was time to relax...

The very first thing to note about Ston Easton Park Hotel, is just how utterly tranquil the location is; both to the ears and the eyes.  Even the car park is hidden behind walls made from greenery.  My time was quickly spent becoming acquainted with the resident dog and cat (who the latter, by the way, will lick your hand and melt your heart); both of which were as friendly as everyone else I came across at the countryside hotel!

I think perhaps my favourite aspect of driving a little off the beaten track to luxurious countryside hotels, is how they offer the peace and relaxation that comes with seclusion.  You can completely switch off and indulge in all that the hotel may offer.  My favourite element?  The room.  I can quite happily spend hours and hours in the room; unpacking, scrolling Instagram and everything else under the sun.  Having booked the South East room with the assumption of sunlight streaming through the South-facing windows, I was very pleased to arrive to find beams of sunlight hitting the floor and warming the carpet underneath my feet.  Combine this with the dramatic four-poster bed, modern bathroom with marble accents and ornate printed wallpaper and you've got a very happy traveller.

Once I'd managed to tear myself away from the South East room, it was time for dinner downstairs in the beautiful, fine dining room. Beforehand, appetisers were served in the drawing room accompanied by music and warm lighting.  The ambience was pretty special and paved the way towards a three-course meal.  Fancy a game of chess afterwards?  No problem, you can do so in one of the many sitting areas dotted around the ground floor of the luxurious hotel; making it the perfect destination for couples and groups alike!

After an indulgent breakfast enjoyed in the South East room, it was sadly time to pack my suitcase and check out.  The worst part of a trip, right?  Before driving away from the beautiful hotel to explore Bath's city centre (again), half an hour was set aside to explore the grounds - although, an hour proved not to be long enough!  There is so much to see!  The garden is an experience all of its own; complete with kitchen garden where ingredients are used in the award-winning fine dining enjoyed by guests.  A river runs through adjacent to the back of the house and hides little gems along the way, such as a walled garden growing tropical plants and a wooden swing, made by a groom for his wife on their wedding day last summer.

  5. Lovely photography and location. I do like your outfits as well. How cute is that white blouse? And what a dreamy hotel. You make me want to pack my bags and book a night in Ston Easton park hotel right now. The place looks perfect to relax. Everything looks so green. Alas, I'd probably be buried in paperwork anyway so I won't be able to relax that much. One more reason to look forward to this Christmas season. We'll have time to relax then I hope!
