Chelsea In Bloom 2019 | The Prettiest Floral Displays
Saturday, 25 May 2019
... and there we have it for another year! Chelsea in Bloom ends today after a fabulous week of filling the streets with spectacular floral displays. This year the theme was Under the Sea and while some locations went all out and brought out the most fish-filled displays you can imagine, others went for more 'inspired' designs with ocean-themed colour schemes. Personally, I'm not fussed either way. If the display is eye-catching and makes me whip out my camera so fast that stray sweet wrappers fall out of my handbag, then it's good in my book! I wandered around on the very first day of Chelsea in Bloom this year while attending an event in the area at Chelsea Barracks, and one thing is for sure - I was not disappointed! If you catch this blog post early on, then there's still time for you to head over to Sloane Square to see all of these fabulous displays first hand, if not, consider this a taster for what you can expect to see next year!

5 Things To Do Before Summer Starts!
Monday, 20 May 2019
Ooh! I can hardly contain my excitement over the temperature gradually rising. Can you believe summer is just around the corner now?! In less than a fortnight's time it will be June and I don't care what the calendar determines as the first day of summer, because JUNE marks the beginning of summer. Right?! I've said it before and I'll say it again - I'm a summer baby. I love the warmth, the sunshine, the hectic schedules and the evening strolls ending with fizzy drinks outdoors. However, to enjoy the season to the max, there are a few things to do - or at least think about - beforehand. Read on to become the most organised and prepared person in your social group...

Square Neck Blouses | The Spring Edit
Friday, 10 May 2019
Hold my drink. I'm too excited and I'm about to start gushing. So, there's a particular style of blouse that can usually be found on Instagram and in the hottest edits of street style. They usually involve any sort of combination of the following: puff sleeves, lace-up details, peplum waists, gathered details and square necks. This type of blouse tends to accentuate the bust and nip in the waist. Yes please and thank you. So, I'm currently in the process of building my warm weather wardrobe and I've seen one of the traits from the above list popping up time and time again in my search: square necks. They're ridiculously flattering and go a long way in helping you to achieve that milkmaid-meets-prairie and bombshell-meets-cute kind of aesthetic. Oh wow, a term really needs to be conjured up to describe this... Anyway, I've put together an edit of some of the most fabulous square neck blouses around right now this season. Happy browsing!
This beautiful beige blouse was from ASOS, though is now sadly out of stock. I know, I'm a monster. Thankfully, there are tons of very similar options around right now. I should know, I'm clicking add to basket on them. Oops... race you there! Alternatively, start scouting eBay and other fabulous online second-hand destinations to see if any have ended up there. A recent discovery of mine has been Micolet; a destination stocking everything from Zara to Ray-Ban and from Pull&Bear to Massimo Dutti. Happy browsing!

Alright so I've made my view on this style of blouse pretty clear, but how about you? Have you added this style of top to your spring wardrobe yet? Let me know in the comments below!

Dermalogica New Releases & Bestsellers | Spring 2019
Monday, 6 May 2019
Depending on how long you've been reading A Glass Of Ice, you'll remember my Mid-Twenties Skincare Regime from Dermalogica towards the end of last year. I mentioned my trust in the brand then, and more recently over on my Instagram (which, by the way, has just hit 10K - yay!), and I'm about to mention the very same thing now on my blog - I trust Dermalogica with every aspect of my skincare - once you've found a specific product that targets your concern and works well, it's hard to ever look elsewhere. My collection of the brand's products has now expanded thanks to some of their new releases and bestsellers being sent my way; and once again I've been swept off my feet and into a happy, skincare-themed bubble!

I've been super pleased with my skin lately and I've even been free from breakouts for months now! Have you ever tried Dermalogica products before? How has your skin been behaving lately? Let me know in the comment below!

First up, the NEW Dermalogica Prisma Protect SPF30! Scientifically, this is probably the most advanced moisturiser I've ever had on my face and for that reason I've been suuuuuper critical while using it for the past month.. and yet simply put, I love it. It's a light-activated moisturiser that 'provides broad spectrum defence while preventing future signs of skin damage'. Needless to say, I can't comment on the longevity of Prisma Protect and just how well it prevents future signs of skin damage. But in the here and now? It's been brilliant. It's not greasy, has improved dryness at the sides of my nose and is SPF30 - making it the perfect spring moisturiser solution. Woo-hoo!

I've been using a CC eye cream lately that has been performing really well and so the bestselling Dermalogica SPF15 Total Eye Care was given a tough but fair trial. I don't experience puffiness around the eyes, however dark circles are definitely my 'thing'. Because of this, I was excited about the product's claims of concealing dark circle. My verdict? It brightens, it smooths - but it doesn't conceal. You're still going to need your concealer, that's for sure. But in every other way it's a high performing eye cream and one you will absolutely not regret updating your skincare regime with!

Be still my beating heart. I received the Dermalogica 12 Days To Glow advent calendar at the end of last year and above all else, fell in love with the Dermalogica SkinPerfect SPF30 Primer sample. I'd been using it religiously until it ran out - and I consequently fell to pieces because my morning makeup routine depended on the magic of that little product! This is one of those miracle products that I can't fault in any way. If you're looking for a smooth-as-velvet primer to soften the appearance of your skin (even the peskiest patches), then give this a go - and then send me a thank you card (... with a sample of this product in, please and thank you)

We love new releases around here and another NEW addition to the family is the Dermalogica Redness Relief Essence; a lightweight and concentrated serum that claims to both reduce redness and reduce sensitivity by strengthening the skin's moisture barrier. I'll cut to the chase, I'm not a fan. My biggest skin issue is dehydration (as I've been told by dermatologists more times than I can count) and sadly this product clashed with that and quickly became a no-go for me. This is one to leave for those fortunate souls with better-hydrated skin!
