This is no ode, and it sure as hell won't be sung. However, it is a confession for my love for Autumnal styling, which I've realised lately has no boundaries whatsoever. I know, I know, we all fall head over heels for sunshine and the opportunity to whip out tiny dresses throughout the summertime, and yet - and yet - I'm still excited that Autumn has arrived. It's pouring down with rain while thunder rattles through the sky and all I can think is: oh, what a great opportunity to wear my new chocolate brown biker boots! Do you feel the same way? Either way, it's deeefinitely something we need to discuss...
The point I always put across, without fail, is how Autumn provides us with the opportunity to layer. Our 2D outfits suddenly have more depth and can be accessorised more heavily without causing everyone to sweat to death on the tube in rush hour. However, personally speaking, the greatest appeal of Autumn styling is the introduction of warmer tones and wider range of textures readily available. For example, you can pick up houndstooth left, right and centre this month. If you're looking to style an entirely brown and butter-coloured capsule wardrobe, this is the time of year to build it. Autumn has a way of bringing out the side within each of us that favours warm tones, heritage patterns, chic accessories, gold-tone jewellery and a general air of being ready for everything and anything. What's not to love about that?

Don't worry, I get it. Totally. Autumn is a lot like Marmite - either you love it, or you hate it! Either way, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the season with regard to trends and styling. Let me know in the comments below!

In the Caribbean, there're just wet or dry season... it never gets cold enough to layer or wear thick coats. But they look so fun! Anyway, your autumn styling is definitely on point.

I completely agree with you Gabrielle, autumn is the best time for fashion in my eyes! Despite the fact you're wearing more items than you would in say Summer, there's still something that feels so easy about dressing at this time of year. Oh and let's not forget how lovely it feels to be all cosy!

I definitely feel the same way about autumn! The cold weather makes me so excited to be able to finally wear my favorite pieces. Warm tones and layering are two of my favorite things with autumn style. And I love your jacket with the pop of red!
