Love is in the air! And sure, it's partly for my partner. But it's also for Valentine's-themed styling, complete with new Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps and feminine pop of rose pink courtesy of Odd Molly! I've had this look sitting prettily in my drafts for quite some time now - only coerced out by Valentine's Day and all of the soft, pink vibes we associate with this loved-up day. I think sometimes we just need an excuse to dress for an occasion. I mean, there's a reason we're wearing head-to-toe metallics throughout the month of December and likewise, there's very good reason to whip out the blush pink and red shades over the next twenty-four hours. Valentine's, Galentines or whatever-you-like-entines, let's embrace the occasion!
Ordinarily, I'd have planned a fitted dress of some sort ideal for a romantic dinner date. However, I'm currently in the Netherlands visiting my partner's family and so a more comfortable and casual look is on the cards. Speaking of which, if you're in the process of planning your outfit for tonight and wondering where on Earth to start - begin with colour. I know, I preach a looot about colour - but that's because of it's importance. Level 1000 importance. You can emit a message with the colour of your outfit alone. For example, a glittering night out with a group: go for gold. If you're going for maximum sex-appeal, you'll be looking at the colour red. A night in with your girlfriends: soft, blush pink shades. Catch my drift? So for my situation, it's this long sleeve dress. This knitted pink dress from Odd Molly is Savagely Cute by name, and Savagely Cute by nature. The fit is super flattering and is a fabulous piece to take from day-to-night. Once again, increasing my love for the Swedish clothing brand.

Psst! If you adore the Hangisi range, but can't quite get on board with their satin pumps, opt instead for a Manolo Blahnik Hangisi Belt. Dreaaaamy.

No matter how you're spending this special day, accessories are key. The recent trend of micro-sized handbags constructed purely for popping your phone inside make for a great addition - particularly if they're heavily embellished. This crossbody pearl design can be found on the high street, though when paired with these Manolo Blahnik Hangisi Pumps, you'd have no idea. Oops, my attention turned back to the shoes. But can you blame me?! The embellished buckle paired with pointed toe stole my heart, although it was only once seeing the shoes styled with jeans for daytime wear that I was convinced. Focussing on cost-per-wear is essential when choosing designer footwear - gotta make those pennies worth it! Oh but hey, footwear is still important if you're curled up at home on the sofa this evening - hello fresh, new pair of pink fluffy socks...
