This blog post needs relatively little introduction, we all know what I'm talking about. The C-word kind of barged its way into the year before our NYE confetti could even touch the ground and the rest, as they say, is history. I'll admit, it's not been a bad year for me and in fact many things have been pretty wonderful. But that still doesn't take away from those moments where you're sat on the sofa staring down a tube of empty Pringles wondering what the hell is happening to the world. But enough of that. I'm here to remind you (and myself) that there's still a little time to make the most of 2020. Sure, it's been a train-wreck. But maybe we can save a carriage or two?
I'd love to hear how you're coping with the year's events? I'm based in London and so restrictions are currently quite tight, with the possibility of another lockdown on its way. Let me know in the comments below!

During these uncertain times, it can be worryingly easy to forget about ourselves and how we usually approach things. The majority of this is understandable, but it's time to whip yourself into action to salvage the rest! I stopped working out mid-summer which quickly led to feeling slow-paced. The moment I returned to my workout regime and running, it felt as though I'd recovered a huge part of myself. Whether it's late-night bubble baths, running for hours or taking time out to listen to podcasts, make yourself a priotity. You'll be surprised at how much better you can cope with what life throws your way.

Is goal-mountain a thing? I'm pretty sure it's not a thing. Either way, if you're somebody who loves to achieve and tick goals off their list, don't let the year's circumstances throw you off course. No matter how small the goal, if achieving it (or at least taking a step towards it) would put a smile on your face, reach for it. There's still two months left in the year before 2021!

However your social life looked before Covid, staying in 24/7 is not the one and yet, here we are. It's natural to build on our achievements and find confidence stemming from the situations we find ourselves in... but we're not really finding ourselves in many 'new' situations, right? Take a couple of steps towards ensuring your confidence remains in tact by getting a sense of your well-being, killing the negative thoughts and lending a helping hand to others. Needless to say, it's not something this blog post alone can achieve, but one thing's for sure, you'll never regret taking the time to work on your sense of confidence and self-worth.

Such a cute outfit with the ruffle hem on your dress and the statement sleeves! Nice colours on you too and of course that's a great location!
ReplyDeleteThese are good tips! I hope that things get safer for you soon and cases go down so you don't have another lockdown - Melbourne is just coming out of their second lockdown and although some of the restrictions have come back in here now and then we are still enjoying our freedom and I hope it stays that way - we can travel around Queensland as much as we like and everything is open - we haven't had any cases in the community in 36 days though which helps!
Hope you are having a nice week :)

I absolutely love your second point--working on small milestone after small milestone, ends up meaning that you find more success for yourself in the long run. Before you know it, you've come a long way and helped improved yourself by leaps and bounds x
